        Joseph Cocciardi as Haz Mat Editor
         

        Joe Cocciardi is the principal owner of Cocciardi and Associates, Inc. a safety, training and environmental service firm located in Mechanicsburg, PA.

         
        Mr. Cocciardi is a Principal Member of Two NFPA Committees, and Six ASTM Committees.  Mr. Cocciardi has spent more than 20 years in the fields of Public Safety and Public, Occupational and Environmental Health. 

        He holds various state and federal licenses to work with toxic materials (asbestos, lead, radioactive materials, storage tanks)  as well as more than a dozen federal and state licenses to train workers in the fields of hazardous and toxic materials. 

        He is the author of the series "Operating Safely in General Environments"," Operating Safely in Hazardous Environments," and  "Operating Safely in Hazardous Environments, A refresher Workbook" Published by Jones and Bartlett Publishers, Boston, MA. 

        Mr. Cocciardi is a Certified Safety Professional. He has both presented and worked nationally and internationally in the safety and health field.  Mr. Cocciardi holds various Project Design Licenses.

        He instructs course work for various state training agencies, and the National Fire Academy/National Emergency Training Center course work in the area of terrorism and hazardous materials.
