Command School, Inc., to expand
Now own the famous Abbottsville simulator

Command School, Inc. is a new corporation that has been formed to provide high quality incident command and management training and information to municipal and industrial customers throughout the United States.

The principal of Command School, Inc. is Glenn D. Usdin, who retired from his position as CEO of Northeast Fire Apparatus, Inc, the used fire apparatus division of American LaFrance fire apparatus. Mr. Usdin remains as a consultant to ALF. Mr. Usdin is also the fire chief in Lancaster Township, PA.

Mr. Usdin and his executive assistant, Kendra Nealon, have opened up offices in Lancaster PA, and will continue to manage and direct the highly acclaimed Command School conferences around the country.

In 2002, there are 8 conferences scheduled, in Atlanta GA., Lancaster PA, Chicago IL, Cleveland OH, Nashua NH, Kansas City MO, Louisville, KY and Orlando FL. Each year for the past 5 years, over 2,000 fire officers have attended Command School and learned how to better manage and operate at the multitude of emergency incidents that they respond to. The prestigious International Association of Fire Chiefs, and Fire Chief Magazine, the magazine for progressive fire service leaders, jointly co-sponsor the 2002 nationwide conference schedule.

Command School, Inc. is also pleased to announce that it has purchased the assets of the "Abbottville Simulator"; and Command Emergency Response Training of Indianapolis, IN, from Don and Bev Abbott.

The Abbott's will continue to be course developers and instructors for Command School, and will conduct training seminars for future "Abbottville"; instructors to maintain the quality and integrity of the classes.

The Abbottville simulator is a scenario based training display that allows students to practice all aspects and levels of incident command training and management.

All past commitments for training sessions are being honored, and new dates and availability of the famed Abbottville simulator will now be available due to the increase of trained and highly qualified field instructors and additional set-up displays.
