2 Alarm House Fire in Fairfax County

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department units responded to a two-alarm house fire in the Bonnie Brae area of the county at approximately 9:10 p.m., Tuesday, November 18, 2003. The ranch-style home is located at 10324 Zion Drive.

First arriving units reported heavy smoke coming from the basement window and the front and rear of the home. Firefighters brought the fire under control in approximately 30 minutes. There was one occupant home when the fire started and escaped unharmed. The occupant has been displaced. The house was scheduled to be torn down to make room for redevelopment.

The home is a total loss. Damage is estimated at $100,000.

Fire investigators are investigating the fire.
