Hilton Head Island Fire Rescue extricates three

At approximately 0207 hours on 4/23/04 Medic 6 was dispatched for an M.V.A. with injuries. Upon arrival Medic 6 reported a two vehicle M.V.A. head on with three with one possible D.O.A., and requested an entrapment response. Truck 6 began extrication of the heavily entangled patient in the red vehicle while Engine 7 began extrication of the driver of the white truck. 
  Both vehicles had heavy entrapment. The driver of the red vehicle was air lifted to Savannah while the other patient and the D.O.A. were transported to Hilton Head Regional Medical Center by ambulance. Battalion 1 had the command, on the alarm were M-6, E-6, T-6, E-7, Battalion 1, M-3, and M-1.
