At 5:47 on the evening of February
16, 2004, Box 10-7 was sounded for a condo fire in the 14000 block
of Briston St, near Justin and Williams Sts. First arriving E-102 from
Laurel arrived to find heavy fire showing from an end of the unit garage
attached to a condominium structure. |
 |
Chief 10 (Kevin Frost) arrived shortly
after E-102, and assumed the Briston St. Command. A second alarm was requested
approximately 10 minutes into the incident, followed by a request for a
fire task force (2 engines and a truck), and then, finally, a request for
the balance of the third alarm. The fire damaged six units. |
Thirteen residents are temporarily displaced
including eight adults and three children. Damage is estimated at
$350,000. Investigators continue working to determine the cause of
the fire.
