Heavy fire showing on DC job
By Alan Etter
Units in the First Battalion responded just after 6:30 PM for the house fire in the 2900 block of 10th St., NE.  Engine 26 reported heavy fire from two second floor windows on side A.

Advancing lines to the interior, the engine company was able to knock the high volume fire down in minutes.  The two-story, brick rowhouse was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

There were no injuries.  The cause is still under investigation.  One firefighter sustained minor burns to his wrist.
