MVA with entrapment in DE

Wilmington, Delaware…Thursday 15 January 2004 at 1402 hours… Brandywine Hundred Fire Company, (A13) Claymont Fire Company’s Ambulance, Medic 4 (New Castle Paramedics) and Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Helicopter) were dispatched to Edgemore Road and Governor Printz Blvd. for a motor vehicle crash with an unoccupied school bus and subject trapped at 1402 hours. 
Upon his arrival Brandywine Hundred Fire Chief Mike DiMauro called for extra Fire Police to clear a landing zone for Trooper 4 (Delaware State Police Helicopter).
 
 

It took firefighters along with New Castle Paramedics approximately 25 minutes to remove the subject from the car. 
Trooper 4 then transported the subject to Christiana Hospital.
