In Wilmington, Delaware on Sunday,
7 March, the Wilmington Fire Department units were dispatched to
the above location in answer to a report from the neighbors that there
was smoke coming from a second floor window.
First arriving Battalion Chief William
McKim reported smoke showing from the second floor of a two story, frame,
duplex style house.
The firefighters forced entry into the
house, advanced a hose line to the second floor and located the fire in
the front bedroom. As they entered the bedroom, they discovered the body
of an elderly woman on the floor at the foot of the bed. |
