          Above is: Rescue-Pumper 36 is a 1999 Freightliner FL80 built by Emergency One. In addition to being a fully equipped Paramedic Rescue, it has limited firefighting capabilities.  The rig has a 250 gallon per minute pump and carries 300 gallons of water and a small amount of foam.

        Palm Beach County Fire and Rescue serves a population of  600,000. It covers  550 square miles operating on a  budget of $140 million. 

        The department is staffed by 1100 personnel. Presently there are 39 fire stations with three under construction.
