A late-night fire tore through a Baytown apartment complex late Friday, displacing 65 residents.
3 dead in Louisville fire
An adult was declared dead at the scene after being pulled from the burning, two-story brick family dwelling at 1249 S. Clay St., said Sgt. Salvador Melendez, a spokesman for Louisville Fire & Rescue. Two children who were pulled from the fire and transported to Kosair Children's Hospital died later, he added.
Deadly  fireworks mishap on Ocracoke Island in Hyde County. NC
At least two are dead and four people were critically injured.Officials say they are all from Melrose Pyrotechnics in South Carolina, and they were setting up the Island's fireworks when the explosion happened.

Fire union gives chief vote of ‘no confidence’
The Boston firefighters union’s executive board announced a vote of “no confidence’’ in Fire Commissioner Roderick J. Fraser Jr., as firefighters voiced their outrage with two Boston companies’ closures.
Documents reveal firefighters' records
Documents show an unknown amount of firefighters with criminal backgrounds are working for the D.C. Fire Department. FOX 5 obtained exclusive internal affairs documents from the department that show many have records, but are issued little more than a written reprimand by Chief Dennis Rubin.
