Chief Dave Flint and 42-year-old
Sharon Petri, the the assistant chief, were riding together in a car on
6-N around 7 p.m., just East of Fry Road. The car they were in collided
with an SUV in Washington Township.

kids critical after Winston-Salem fire
Two children were found
unconscious inside a burning house Thursday night.. Both children are in
critical condition at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center with undisclosed
injuries.

saves twins from house fire

In Luzerne County, PA, flames
wrecked a family's home, and a father saved his twin babies from the burning
building. The call for the fire came in around 7 p.m. Units from Shavertown,
Trucksville, Dallas, Kingston Township, Edwardsville and Kingston responded.
The fire was under control by around 8:15 p.m. |

dies in Queens blaze

a grandmother was trapped in a blaze, while her family was in the downstairs
apartment unaware of the fire.

worker gets kudos over fire

No one was hurt in an apartment
complex fire thanks in part to a postal worker who noticed smoke coming
from the complex and pounded on doors to awaken the occupants. Kevin DeMouth,
a postal worker with the Palmer Post Office, was headed to work when he
saw a cloud of smoke rising from the apartment complex from about five
blocks away, near the intersection of Old Nazareth Road and Swanson Street. |

and breakfast blaze in Rochester

Rochester firefighters battled
a two-alarm blaze at The Dartmouth House, a bed and breakfast in the Park
Avenue neighborhood.The fire at 215 Dartmouth Avenue was called in about
12:45 p.m. by dozens of people in the neighborhood who saw smoke pouring
from the roof of the three-story structure, said Fire Chief John Caufield. |
