| Chief
William Goldfeder, a 27 year veteran of the fire service, is a Battalion
hief/Director of Planning and Development for the Loveland-Symmes
Fire Department in southwestern Ohio.
L.S.F.D. is an ISO Class 2 full service
FD providing nationally accreditated ALS Transport EMS, Heavy & Tactical
Rescue as well as a full range of non-traditional community services.
Previously, Chief Goldfeder has served
as a Chief Fire Officer in Ohio, Virginia and Florida. He served as the
Director of Fire-Rescue for Loudon County, Virginia for 8 years after serving
as Assistant Chief in Manatee County, Florida for 5 years. Chief
Goldfeder also served as an Engineering Representative for I.S.O.
A 1993 graduate of the N.F.A.'s Executive
Fire Officer program, he is also former Chair of the IAFC's Volunteer Section.
Chief Goldfeder was recently reappointed to his second four year term as
a Commissioner on the Commission on Fire Accreditation International.
He serves as an Associate Editor/Advisory
Board Member for FIRE ENGINEERING as well as FIRE-RESCUE Magazine and has
published numerous articles on subjects such as combination FD's, fire
command and tactics, apparatus design, deployment and fireground staffing.
Chief Goldfeder has served on several NFPA and IAFC Committees and has
been an FDIC Instructor for the past 15 years. |
